Lady Freethinker provided funding to Beach Dog Rescue in Costa Maya, Mexico, to deliver urgent medical care to homeless dogs suffering from severe, even life-threatening, health conditions.

One of the dogs who benefited from this critical aid is Oscar.
Oscar was a street dog found with a severe injury on one of his extremities. Without receiving timely treatment, the injury worsened and led to serious complications.
Thanks to a neighbor who posted his story online, Beach Dog Rescue stepped in to help.
After receiving more than two weeks of hospitalization, an invasive surgery, and extensive post-operative care, Oscar is now safe, smiling, and settling into life at the sanctuary.

Luca was rescued from the street in deplorable condition, battling dehydration, malnutrition, severe mange, a tick-borne infection, fungal nail disease, and a contagious tumor that put her life at risk.
With the help of Beach Dog Rescue, Luca was brought to the hospital and is now receiving the care she needs. She is well-nourished, currently undergoing chemotherapy, and in much brighter spirits.

Another dog whose life was transformed through this essential funding is Donna. Abandoned at a train station, she evaded rescue for three weeks before she could be brought to safety.
Once examined, it became clear that Donna had been suffering for some time, with matted fur, bleeding skin, serious eye conditions, heartworm disease, and rotting teeth.
Through it all, she has remained an incredibly happy little dog, and rescuers are hopeful she will soon find a loving home in Toronto.
