A community-cared-for stray cat named Celebi was allegedly shot multiple times in the face and throat with a BB gun in Bermuda Dunes, California, suffering injuries so severe that she did not survive, according to NBC Palm Springs.
A family who cared for Celebi and considered her part of their own noticed she couldn’t open her mouth or eat, so she was taken to a shelter for treatment — but the damage proved too extensive to overcome.
Unfortunately, no suspect has been identified in connection with the cruelty inflicted on this innocent feline.
The pain this cat must have endured after being shot repeatedly, left unable to eat, and ultimately losing her life is heartbreaking — and her suffering must not be ignored.
Sign our petition urging the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office to thoroughly investigate this case and identify whoever is responsible for shooting Celebi.
