A 51-year-old woman from Manchester, New Hampshire has been arrested and indicted on federal charges for allegedly distributing depraved animal crush videos in private online groups, according to a press release from the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of New Hampshire.
Lynn Seymour has been charged with one count of distribution of animal crush videos and one count of conspiracy.
Prosecutors allege that those charges stem from her role in managing groups with hundreds of members that exchanged and distributed videos showing baby and adult monkeys being tortured, mutilated, sexually abused, and killed.
The distribution charge carries a maximum penalty of seven years in prison, while the conspiracy charge carries up to five.
This case is the latest in a series of arrests, indictments, and convictions tied to global baby monkey torture rings. We are deeply grateful to the law enforcement officers and prosecutors working tirelessly to bring justice for these innocent animals.
Lady Freethinker, together with Action for Primates, first uncovered the cruel world of online monkey torture in 2021—including the notorious group “Million Tears,” where members paid for specific acts of violence against monkeys.
Our findings also helped shape the BBC documentary The Monkey Haters, which revealed this shocking abuse to audiences worldwide.
The cruelty inflicted on these monkeys cannot be undone, but each arrest and conviction brings us closer to ending this horror. Lady Freethinker will not rest until all animals everywhere are safe from abuse.
