A pig wandering around the streets of Philadelphia was recently sponsored by a local baseball team, the Lehigh Valley IronPigs.
The pig, fondly named Snoop Hogg, suffered from mange and eye issues when the Animal Care and Control Team found him. He was moved to the Sanctuary at Haafsville for rehabilitation, which is where the local baseball team learned about him.
The IronPigs stepped up for Snoop Hogg, donating $750 to the animal rescue to help aid his care and rehabilitation, according to Lehigh Valley News.
The Sanctuary at Haafsville’s residents are usually more canine and feline than Snoop Hogg, but the shelter took him in after suspecting he was used as bait for dog fighting rings, according to CBS News.
Since the generous donation from the IronPigs, Snoop Hogg has been treated for mange, neutered, and vaccinated. He has also taken to walking around the office with a harness, and the staff are potty training him.
