Burned alive and left near a garbage can in a dog park in Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie, Montreal, Azur the cat must have suffered excruciating pain at the hands of a sadistic killer. Azur's charred body was discovered by a jogger and taken to the Montreal SPCA, who reported severe burns all over the poor animal's body.
Azur is the second cat within 6 months found burned to death at this site, indicating the work of a serial animal killer. All of the other innocent cats in Montreal may now be at risk of this horrifying fate.
The sick person who did this is a danger to the community and must be identified and prosecuted. Not only for the sake of the cats brutally killed, but for the sake of the people -- because serial animal torture is often a sign of future violence toward humans. The SPCA is investigating, but has no leads so far (they are asking the public to contact them with any information).
Sign this petition to the Montreal police urging them to make it a priority to find the dangerous individual responsible for these heinous acts, and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law. No more cats must suffer this horrific abuse.
