SIGN: Stop Gunning Down Denali Wolves with Assault Rifles

SIGN: Stop Gunning Down Denali Wolves with Assault Rifles

In a recent bloodbath near Alaska's Denali National Park, a hunter armed with an AR15 semiautomatic rifle shot down 10 wolves. When the massacre was over, he posed proudly for a photo op, holding his weapon high with the wolf carcasses on full display.

There is nothing sportsmanlike about gunning down wolves with assault weapons. Such mass killings devastate wolf family packs and can disrupt ecological systems.

So many wolves have been shot down this year, Alaska ended hunting season early in an emergency order issued March 30. But the damage has been done -- and the state has even admitted they don't know the total number of wolves killed.

It's time to stop the slaughter.

Sign this petition to urge Alaska Governor Bill Walker to stop the mass killing of wolves and other predators and end the hunt at Denali National Park for good.

I find this picture disgusting. What is the purpose of this massacre? What right does a person have to kill? Wolves are exceptionally beautiful creatures, intelligent and sensitive and they have an important role to play in ecology. Put this stupid man away; it is people like this that are destroying the planet.

How is this hunting? Hunting is waiting under a tree with a single shot gun waiting for your single prey to come by. And why wolves? Do you eat dog meat? No you mount only the head on your wall. Disgusting!!!!!

Humankind at its best again, not in my name you don’t. These beautiful creatures aren’t yours to kill, they belong to us all. Maybe the hunters should become the hunted.

A sociopath. Trumps sons are the same. Our damn UK Royal Family are the same. They shoot for fun and want the photo to show the world how big their penis is. Well, there manhood in actually nothing more than the size of a peanut. This man is not a hero. This man is not an intelligent person. Can anyone let me know what his purpose on this planet is? I mean we have too many people like him. What do these stupid and ignorant people actually contribute?

This man should go to China to live. They kill for fun there and have no laws for cruelty. Quite astonishing really when you consider people that commit acts of cruelty can actually be mentally ill and a threat to the human race.

Is not bloody animal actually safe on this damn planet from the beast of the human race??? Not even bloody Alaska!!!! Every bloody part of this earth there are acts of cruelty. The BIGGEST THREAT TO THIS PLANET IS MAN. FACT!

For the most superior beings on the planet I am personally ashamed of the human race. I sign these partitions against animal cruelty regularly. Cruelty will never stop unless man ceases to exist.

Let America have a war with Russia. Let there be an end to all of us. Trump is in power and a sociopath and unpredictable. The human race and everything on the earth dies instantly. We have nuclear bombs. Enough to destroy everything instantly. No more cruelty. No more suffering. Perfect. So we all die. So what. None of us are actually doing anything to save the planet anyway and we have dicks like this everywhere. We lost the battle from day one.

Very well said. I totally agree with you.
Too many cruel heartless idiots in this world.
Absolutely Sickening and Heartbreaking what goes on in this world. Nothing can change it no matter how much we try. Except the annihilation of evil humans.

There is a moderate to high probability that humans will anhilate each other anyhow, probably sooner than later. I’m hoping that when that time comes, we, at the very least, don’t destroy the planet and all other species with it. We won’t be missed. Our cruelty is limitless, as is our stupidity.

I just don’t get it. First, why is this guy’s right to kill wolves above my right to see them and appreciate them in the wild? Second, what kind of human being does this to God’s creatures? We are to be stewards of God’s creation, not abusers of it. Governor Walker, please stop the killing of animals for “pleasure.” This was killing for killing’s sake. This was not somebody hunting in order to feed their family.

Yes, this killing machine wants to hide his ugly, souless face. He should be hunted down like those poor wolves, somebody will know him, give him up, name & shame him, then hunt him down.

We hope people like this die. . . . . . . sorry to say it but these selfish despicable people have NO REGARD for beauty, Nature, other living beings’ lives. Wolves, as well as other predators, have been known to bring back the balance of Nature and the eco-system in other wild places that they have been re-introduced to. This murdering of these magnificent animals is done out of fear and IGNORANCE. This is shameful and disgraceful. It is unnecessary, inexcusable, and UNACCEPTABLE. We don’t understand how this could be done. How could people like this get away with such an injustice to our animals and our environments !! THIS IS MADNESS AND INSANITY.

Wolves are Endangered. You should make it illegal to kill them. Cowards hunt them with their high powered rifles, your not cool, not manly! It’s a travesty. Killing our super predators doesn’t just kill beautiful animals, it puts their very existence in grave peril. Its sick and vile, like the idiot’s who kill them.

Why do some people think they have the right to take the lives of creatures? I just cannot understand how they can live with themselves after they treat the animals so badly. They should hang their head in shame and be Disgusted with their ugly souls for taking the lives of these wolves.

This makes me totally sick, what has happened to this world and where will all this end, Trophy Hunting, live exports, skinning animals alive for there fur, killing donkeys for there skin, poaching, blood sports, destruction of habitats including rainforests, so many beautiful creatures tortured and murdered in cold blood forcing many species close to extinction, it is one thing breeding animals for food thst in itself to me seems cruel as I do not we believe we could not survive without eating meat but that is my personal opinion. This just shows how despicable some people are when this world was created animals came first and lived quite happily until we interfeared its a shame dinosaurs dont still exist maybe they could then wipe out the murderers in this world and make a better future for us all

It is scientifically ignorant to “hunt” an apex predator. These animals were extirpated from vast swaths of their historic range by action such as these. Citing copious studies and testimony from true experts doesn’t register with the guns-not-brains crowd. It is imperative we ALL rise up to the defense of our Wild…before unchecked ignorance renders rebellion too late.

Guns do not kill. Guns are tools. People decide how to use them. They can keep your family safe in this dangerous world or can murder wantonly. Human decision.

I agree that guns are tools to be used IF necessary. This gross shooting is NOT necessary, nor would any animal loving person do such a thing as kill these many wolves with an assault rifle. This man is an IDIOT, and he’s STUPID, and he knows nothing about the animals he killed. I used to have one, raised him from a pup until he died at age16. Best animal I’ve ever had! I’ve never met a more intelligent, loving, or more loyal animal. They are the best. Anyoe who kills wolves has already lost whatever makees the rest of us human!

What a COWARD!!!! He hides is coward face. We try to put laws into place to protect those who can not speak for themselves. My question is this. Why does our species not have humane awareness in the first place. You can put all the laws in place but until Human Kind stops being soooooo selfish, all the animals on this planet are DOOMED!!!!
I am so ashamed of my species!!!!!!!! I just can NOT wrap my head around why people do not respect ALL living creatures!!! We are the ones who should be wiped out by Mother Nature and become extinct.
My heart is so heavy with all the pain and destruction we cause!!!

Perhaps we should even the odds and let the wolves hunt him down. What sort of man would consider it sport to hunt down a defenseless animal with an AR15 semiautomatic rifle. I think more likely its an act of complete cruelty and ignorance. No wonder he hides his face. I would be ashamed to show mine too!

This is horrible and disgusting and sickening and disgraceful. Wolves are part of Nature and are so vitally important to our environments and eco- systems. This is a huge injustice to our wolves which are already so endangered in numbers already. This is so unnecessary and unconscionable.
