In July, a battered and beaten puppy was found tied up in a trash bag in Romania, left to die. But kind rescuers refused to give up on the abused dog.

She suffered a broken leg and major head injury, and maggots were eating the poor dog’s flesh. But rescuers rushed her to Transylvania Animal Care, who got right to work treating her grave injuries.

The puppy — now named “Anora,” meaning “light” — clung bravely to life, and has made a remarkable recovery. Anora was adopted, and is expected to soon be able to run and play as a puppy should.

Thank you, rescuers, for showing compassion and saving Anora’s life against all odds.
