When a family in Nottinghamshire, England noticed a sheep stranded in the moss alongside the River Idle, Grandma sprung into action! The brave woman slipped cautiously into the chest-deep water and made her way toward the stranded animal.

After reaching the other side of the river, Nana discovered that the sheep was heavier than she thought it would be! Both Nana and the sheep became exhausted as she made several unsuccessful attempts to help the animal out of the water.

Nana wasn’t ready to give up, however. Finally, with much boosting and encouragement, the sheep helps himself up and scurried away.

Thank you to everyday heroes like Nana, who spot an animal in need and don’t think twice about helping – even when it means swimming across a river!
