Diver Dan Patterson was being filmed exploring the waters off the Farne Islands, England when a very friendly seal swooped in and stole the show.

Eager for some gentle head rubbing — and apparently, some screen time — the playful seal just couldn’t seem to get enough attention.

The Farne Islands are known for their abundant grey seal population, with hundreds of pups born every autumn. Seals in the area are referred to as “underwater Labradors” for their affectionate behavior.

While wildlife should generally never be approached or handled for selfies (or any other reason), in this rare case it was the seal who insisted. And who could say no to that face?
