JECCA Makeup, a vegan, unisex makeup line, wants to treat one lucky person to an all-expense paid trip to Los Angeles, California. As part of their Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign, one contributor will get to travel to to LA with founder Jessica Blackler. The winner will spend two nights in a five-star hotel and attend the celebrated Founder Made Consumer Discovery Show.

JECCA Makeup’s crowdfunding campaign was launched with the aim of expanding the range of shades available in the Correct & Conceal palettes.

“We launched JECCA Makeup with just two shades but I want the range to be as inclusive as possible, which means creating makeup palettes to suit different skin tones,” said Blackler. “Eventually we’d like to create makeup to suit every skin tone.”

After working as a professional makeup artist in the film and television industry, Blackler decided to create the new brand while hosting makeup lessons for trans women in the UK.

“Many of them reported that the mainstream beauty products weren’t equipped to meet their unique needs, like beard shadow, and I wanted to create a product that would work for them, but could be used by anyone.” she said.

Although the line was designed specifically to meet the needs of trans women, anybody can use it. It is oil free and creates full coverage, perfect for covering acne or tattoos without being too heavy on the skin.

All products in the collection are PETA-approved.

“It’s important to me that JECCA was completely vegan and not tested on animals and cruelty free,” Blackler told Lady Freethinker. “After all, makeup is for humans, not animals.”

Attendees of the Founder Made Consumer Discovery Show get a first look at new eco-friendly products that have yet to hit the market, as well as the opportunity to network with other professionals and listen to inspiring keynote speakers.

Contributors to the Indiegogo campaign can receive a variety of other perks too, including lapel pins, makeup palettes and online or private makeup lessons.
