Starved, dehydrated and too weak to even stand up, Aaron the 4-month-old puppy was callously dumped into a garbage can in River Rouge, Michigan. Alone and suffering, Aaron had been left for dead.
This insidious crime must not go unpunished. Aaron's attempted killer must be found, and duly prosecuted.
Aaron was only discovered after a man mowing the grass heard a barking sound, but could not immediately tell where it was coming from. He opened a garbage can to throw out some grass clippings -- and there was the poor, emaciated puppy, lying listlessly in the trash.
With the combined efforts of River Rouge Shelter, Lucky Day Animal Rescue and Wilson Veterinary Hospital, Aaron was given the emergency medical care he so desperately needed to survive.
Suffering from kidney problems, low body temperature and muscles that had all but wasted away, Aaron needed a lot of help if he was going to make it. And although he is thankfully recovering, the perpetrator is still at large.
It is imperative to treat crimes like this with the utmost seriousness, to protect innocent animals as well as stop sociopathic behavior that often then leads to violence toward humans.
Sign the petition urging law enforcement to locate and apprehend the person who tortured Aaron and left him for what would have been a slow, agonizing death.
