How to Report Animal Abuse on YouTube

There are three ways to report animal abuse on YouTube: reporting a channel, reporting a video, and reporting a comment.

In some cases, the channel may have unintentionally posted animal abuse to their channel. But otherwise, the channel does not seem to focus on or show animal cruelty. If this is the case, report the video only. The channel will be alerted that the video goes against YouTube’s community guidelines on animal cruelty, and the channel will likely remove the video.

On the other hand, if the channel is frequently posting animal cruelty content, it makes sense to report the entire channel. It also helps to report each individual video.

To report a YouTube video:

  1. When viewing the video, find the three dots (…) below the video’s title and to the right of “Save.”
  2. Click the three dots (…) and click “Report.”

  4. Click “Choose one” and select “Animal abuse.”
